Hanlon Group is recruiting experienced professionals with technical expertise to serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) advisors, mentors, trainers and facilitators in support of a forthcoming Department of State-funded foreign assistance program. SMEs will be based worldwide to support bolstering peace, security, and stability on a country or sub-regional basis. Experience in the following illustrative  activity areas is required:  

  • Border management and security
  • Budgeting and strategic planning
  • Cease-fire monitoring/verification processes
  • Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response

Ideal candidates will have at least ten years of experience in their area(s) of expertise and be able to demonstrate skills and abilities as an advisor, mentor, facilitator and trainer. Candidates must be proficient in MS Office 365 (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint). Additional requirements, depending on the position, may include:

  • Military experience
  • Willingness and ability to serve overseas, including having medical clearance to live and serve in austere, fragile, and conflict prone environments.
  • U.S. Citizenship (local citizens may be considered for some positions)
  • B.A./B.S. degree, although higher education may be required for some areas of expertise. On a case-by-case basis, extensive professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English required. Proficiency in one or more  foreign languages is preferred).
  • Security Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship and security clearance requirements vary by task order requirements. Consequently, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a MRPT at a minimum up to and including a Top Secret clearance.
